Perched on a low shrub, a parrot is king of the garden. Realistically carved from kadam wood, he boasts bright, inquisitive eyes and perfectly preened feathers. Suresh and Devender Garg present the whimsical bird, hand-carved from a single block of kadam wood. It features the classic jali, or "openwork," with a tiny parrot carved inside the latticed body.
